The 2024 report analyses one of the largest emotional-wellbeing datasets in Indian workplaces - 83,000+ counselling sessions, 12,000+ elective screenings, and 42,000+ assessments conducted between January and November 2024. Counselling utilisation rose 22% year-on-year, reaching 3.7%, signaling that more organisations are normalising timely mental-health support.
Mental-health concerns entered the top three for the first time (15% of all sessions), and men’s participation hit a new high (47%), reflecting shifting norms and expanding access. At the same time, pre-screening data shows the scale of unmet need: 87% screened positive for depression (mild to severe) and 86% for anxiety; notably, severe anxiety accounted for nearly a third of screenings.
Employees consistently report value from support - 97% rated counselling as helpful, while manager-led referrals, though just 1% of overall sessions, surface disproportionate risk, underscoring the importance of manager sensitisation
